I’m a homebody, peacemaker, a creative and of course, an animal lover of all shapes and sizes. Welcome to my little corner of the internet world!
I’m a sucker for all things sunny and warm, and I guess you could say my personality is very much the same. I have a pretty open heart and I seek out joy in the little things in life. Having spent most of my life in and around the ocean, the beach is my number one happy place. From the colours, to the sounds, the feelings, the memories - everything about it gives me life! When I’m not scrunching my toes in the sand, you’ll likely find my reading quietly and stealing schnuggles from my cat while my Aussie Shepherd runs rings around me.
So how did I come to be here?
It’s no joke, I have photos in almost every room of my house! I have six photo albums and I’m not even up to date with all my printing. I have what I like to call my two ‘big girl’ cameras, which I shoot on for all my sessions. But then I also have two film cameras and two instant cameras.
You could say I’m a little obsessed…
I was the kid that got a disposable camera every Christmas, and I loved using up my film. Once I started working I managed to save up my own money to by a little point and shoot digital camera. It was $500 of my own money and back then it was a BIG DEAL!
But you know what, despite this, I wasn’t allowed to take photography as a subject in high school because my english grades weren’t strong enough… go figure right?
I GUESS PHOTOGRAPHY HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN MY DESIGN, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ANIMALS?
I’ve loved animals all my life. I grew up with two cats, a small dog and multiple canaries. My favourite friends houses to go to, were the ones with all the animals. I enjoyed taking my pets to the vet or visiting the SPCA just so I could immerse myself in that world, even if only for 10 minutes. I even volunteered at the SPCA for a short time before I got myself a job in a pet shop. I dreamed of riding dolphins, and owning multiple cats, dogs and bunnies. I collected all the animal toys, and read all the animal related magazines. And coincidentally enough, all three of my tattoos are animal related - that was not planned!
Despite my evident love and passion, I was told multiple times all the reasons why I couldn’t work in a more hands-on environment and make a career as a vet or as a zookeeper. And I believed it, until one day I didn’t…
It was thanks to an incredible mindset coach, Miss Mindset was her name, that I worked with at the end of 2021 who helped me realise what I had known all along, and what had been buried so deep I couldn’t see it for myself.
She helped me connect with my inner child and reminded me of the things I truely love and enjoy -

So why couldn’t I combine the two?! Who said working with animals had to be in a vet clinic or a zoo?
Our pets are not just pets. They’re a part of our family. Whether its a pig, a cat or a dog, a chicken, a lizard or anything in-between, they deserve a spot on the wall too! The bond between pets and their owners is always so special and unique, and that makes for incredible and memorable images. Equally, having a portrait of your pet all on their own is something just as treasured by many of my clients.
Deep down I do still ask myself if I should go back to school and study vet nursing - maybe one day I will. But for now I’m totally in love with the idea of creating memorable pieces of art for your family home.
